PURPOSE
The main purpose of this webpage is to formulate a report regarding the progress of the construction site for an academic purpose to understand various design and construction processes from a student’s point of view. It contains 6 weekly reports recording information of construction progress with actual site photos.
ABOUT VIREO
Vireo is a 26 story multifamily residential project, located adjacent to Piedmont Park, on 13th Street between Piedmont Road and Juniper Street in the popular community of Midtown Atlanta. Vireo provides 318 luxury and affordable rental units in studio, one and two bedroom layouts ranging in square footage from 486 to 1,242. This vertically stacked tower starts at the lobby/street level, followed by 26 levels of residential floors. The top floor features the club and pool amenities with spectacular views of the park and city skyline. A separate building of 6 floors is provided for parking purpose which also connects to the main building.

Vireo is superbly positioned within blocks of Midtown's restaurants, museums, theaters, nightlife options, and flourishing job sector. The community also is one block away from Piedmont Park, which is known as the outdoor epicenter of the city. Several public transit options are within close proximity of Vireo, including two MARTA train stations. In addition, the Downtown Connector (I-75/85) provides access to Downtown Atlanta, Buckhead, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and several additional key locales through the core of the city.
Construction Started on August 2017 and will last till August 2019. But the concrete work will be completed before January 2019. The leasing is expected to start this December.
The LMC Construction is the developer of the project but has given the exterior works to another party, the HOAR constructions. The delivery method followed is Design-Build.
