WEEK-1 Sep-7

KNOWING THE SITE

Out of 26 floors of Vireo midtown, the construction of 21 floors was completed and the 22nd floor was under construction during our visit. There were 212 people working on the site which also included Foreman and Labors. 14 Sub-contractors were working on the site. Temporary electric lights were fixed on every floor for easy vision. The wiring system is using a steel casing as it can stay durable during the construction phase as well as can be prevented from any damage due to drywall installation.  Enough insulations around structure columns were provided at each level.

They complete bar-bending and concreting of one floor every week. They had started the construction work of the 22nd floor on 3rd September and was on the final stage when we saw it on 7th September. Post tension bars were installed. During construction, each floor was supported by Steel framework which could be removed and shifted to the new floor as a whole with the help of a crane. After removing Steel Framework, the constructed floor gets supported by the ‘Reshores.’
