WEEK- 5 Oct - 19
Safety is a major issue across global construction Industries. People here at Lennar Company are much concerned about safety. They have mandatory safety orientation for all visitors. Making every visitor aware about every hoarding instruction on site is part of safety procedure. Safety instruction boards are installed on every location. As for the workers, PPE compulsory. Fire extinguisher on every floor is active. On top of that, all the material on the site have to be stored properly is one of the prime concerns for the LMC.

Safety tie is installed on every part of the building edges.
Worker working near to the edge of the floor is required to tie himself with this safety belt.

The procedure is called the ABC procedure,
where: ABC refers to:
A is ‘Ankle point’
B is for ‘Body harness’
C is ‘Connection to devices’
Apart from onsite safety measure, they have designated area for the all the safety boards and safety equipment orientation, with the med-plus emergency kit. The safety area contains any working subcontractor’s information, how to use and treat the chemical substances available on the site and direction for the nearest hospital.

This is what the LMC do when some incident happens on the site with any individual:
-
Assist the victim with med plus kit
-
Call 911 for the rescue
-
Refer the safety code of the victim and call the supervisor under whom the victim is working to report.
